Not sure if it’s compatible with your particular lock, but I’ve got switchbot stuff integrated into home assistant without issue (using their hub).

I’m assuming they just send you a zip file with an ‘existing codebase’ where somewhere in a hidden dependency a bit of code does something nefarious when you first run the project. You don’t even need root access to do something bad, your whole home directory is interesting enough as it is (emails, SSH keys, saved browser passwords, etc).
Not everyone is going to do a coding test in a separate account or in a VM.
Earnings is different from profits.
Until you get rejected for a job at your own dad’s company.
Yeah, I can’t even begin to imagine the smells Biden had to deal with right after moving in.
Isn’t that basically the point of the extension? Making sure you’re not tricked into watching BS content?
Yeah, I ran the update but haven’t noticed a difference, mostly because I wasn’t having issues to begin with I guess.
This might actually be one of the few things AI could be used for. ChatGPT could download the transcript and just build a short summary.
Although chances are you’re just replacing one shitty thing with a different shitty thing.
And now job boards are full of ads for ‘salesforce developers’ that pay ridiculous amounts because nobody really wants to work on salesforce.
Just amazing.
Yep, do we want to have 2 parties where the candidate isn’t accountable to viewers, or just the 1?
Yeah, it’s kind of weird that this is one of the things the US got right compared to most other countries. If you’re already sending a guy to every house in town, why not pick up their mail while you’re at it.
I remember Carl Sagan writing something similar in one of his books, I didn’t know it was based on this film.
Honestly surprised anyone actually uses chat GPT for real work without checking it. I thought everyone agreed it was basically still a toy at this point.
The US freight companies are largely run by private equity, who squeeze everything they can out of existing infrastructure with minimal investment, which is shown by the handling of the East Palestine derailment (not just the derailment itself, but also the intentional blowing up of cars in order to free up the line faster).
They wouldn’t do an investment they only pays off long term like that.
I’m not denying there’s downsides, but compared to cars the step from Diesel-electric to full electric isn’t that huge from an environment and experience perspective.
I mean, diesel electric weren’t that terrible either, I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard the generator running while on one of those. Obviously full electric is better, but they must’ve been a really terrible implementation to begin with if they had all the downsides mentioned in the article.
Yeah, they wasted time on cars like the Model X, semi and Cybertruck, all needlessly complicated vanity projects that took resources away from the Model 3 and possibly a Model 2. Not to mention the FSD that’s been 2 years away for like a decade now.
If they stuck to their initial roadmap they would probably be in a way better position, although without Musk I don’t know if they would’ve been able to juice the stock the way they have now. His cult is basically keeping the stock price irrationality high.
Probably has a lot to do with mainstream car makers catching up, although Musk is definitely becoming a liability to the company.
And I don’t get why they would use it for graphics instead of using an AI coprocessor to do interesting stuff in games, like generating dialogue, complex missions, smarter NPCs, maps, etc.
You could build worlds where stuff happens that isn’t just governed by randomly doing stuff based on triggers.
