But god, it’s hard to set those boundaries so many times… Compromising on pay is one option, but it is certainly not great. Having said so, priorities did change when we had the kids.

What they won’t tell you is that building a road is much more expensive than building a cycleway, as the road construction is much deeper.

Even maintenance costs more, as lorries damage roads much more than any cycle ever can.
