  • Not simply better at anything, for instance power efficiency, usually mobile devices use an arm architecture which is more efficient than x86.

Plus a phone is much more portable than a pc regardless of whether it may be a laptop or a desktop.

You could always just get a keyboard and plug it into a phone.

A phones touch screen keyboard is okay, i type at over 100wpm, so sure a physical keyboard is superior, especially since autocorrect isn’t on by default on a pc.

If you take the phone and connect it to a monitor and keyboard n mouse setup, what’s the advantage of the pc over that setup?

Me when my sound randomly goes poof and starts acting on the fritz

Terminal please run my pulse killer file. Fixed.

Then sometimes my chat/game mixer just breaks. And one only works, then on a random day it is just mysteriously works again without doing anything.

Then my windows laptop is like: File Explorer crashes fairly regularly. Word died sometimes. The battery percentage is now just a percentage with no number!

Now my WiFi toggle states it’s offline… Opens networks, ah lovely it says connected. Same with Bluetooth.

Much rather just have the more reliable Linux.

  • Stupid take.

Linux has some of the best device compatability because it’s baked into the kernel. Don’t need to download a driver in most cases, just update the kernel.

Plus it’s known to be a great os for a developer. Also the apt repositories or other repos make installing an app on windows store look like a toddlers first steps in comparison.

Oh and if you use an android phone then you’re using a Linux kernel.

The foundation of the Android platform is the Linux kernel. For example, the Android Runtime (ART) relies on the Linux kernel for underlying functionalities such as threading and low-level memory management. 4 May 2023 Platform architecture - Android Developers
