Is this outlined in a plan with feasibility at all, perhaps by a green party, it sounds like it would be an interesting read. Nuclear sounds good, and I know Brookfields Westinghouse does it already, I just dont understand how the other industry would outcompete China in manufacturing. They use coal to produce their solar and wind, and they have all the refining capacity. Which I’d also assume the material refining would need to be carbon free here to satisfy a green party, making us even less competitive in manufacturing green products.
What’s an example of a green industry. The failed battery plant we threw billions at, or reselling Chinese coal produced solar panels?

I fear when they learn a different layout. Right now it seems they are usually obvious, but soon I wont be able to tell slop from intelligence.
The greenists would like to help the homeless and feed the needy after they block an industry and remove those dirty jobs, if only it didnt ruin the character of the neighborhood.
Microsoft was the same, protected from antitrust when they opened up a back door for the US government.

Its gone I think.

Ive found everything Microsoft makes buggy and error prone.
I’d always get errors with the /tmp folder when running rootless, I hope its better now.

I have long predicted the entire goal of DOGE was to feed more data to Palantir, and clearly no other company is ever going to be given this level of security clearance, so they become dependent on it forever. I think this view is gaining more traction from what I’ve seen.
There was always a kind of lint that would develop on the wheel inside. I’ve got no idea what it was made out of.
I use a mouse pad, it works pretty well.

My dad has been cheap his entire life, and now survives almost entirely on rotisserie chicken.

We ran a lot of QE during Covid, which is still going into stocks. VTI doubled the last 4 years.

I’m excited because I think AI will break down and erode proprietary file formats, for ultimate portability between different software providers. That for me is a game changer in how software is used, and opens up real competition and innovation. Thats not anything as grand as the AGI these founders keep vaporwaring, but I think it will still be substantial.

If Europe cares about climate change they will force carriers to open source their firmware. Why should a phone be allowed to be non-updateable?
Sure I just mean its not really AI, its simply more machine learning. Its not sentient, its not replacing the bulk of workers, it doesnt understand what its doing so its just a more advanced tool for workers to take advantage of.
Sure, though its not going on autopilot, its not really an artificial intelligence, its just basic machine learning that we already had.
True, though its still extremely useful, and its impossible to determine where its stealing from for the average consumer. Its objectively useful.
What you’d be doing is taxing existing non-green industries, so investment flees, and Canada’s productivity problem becomes worse. Then you have nothing to make the green industries profitable, because once youre out of somebody elses money you fold.
