On old Twitter, community notes was simply a function of raising a flag for tweets that got ratio’d. This would open those tweets up for Community Notes users to submit a fact check. Then, the fact check with the highest upvotes gets displayed as the default one.
Now? Not sure. Elon is a sneaky fucker. But I do think it could be implemented as a simple comment queue that admins and moderators could set user roles to help with.

My hobby as a 15 year old was buying broken projectors to harvest the fresnel lenses in the lamp on top. They could focus sunlight so powerfully that you could burn shit. I didn’t do that, surprisingly. I was like Marge Simpson, I just thought they were neat.

Comics from 1900 - 1938 were fucking amazing. I guess because fewer people could read back then, they needed gags in strips to really only exist on a visual level. I’m sure people read gags out then showed the picture to a group of workers or travelers.

I respect that, but at the same time, if you don’t make time for leisure, 30 years will disappear down the drain in a blink of an eye. Nobody is going to make that space for you; you have to advocate for yourself.
I think about this comic probably once a week at this point. I don’t know if anyone will ever be able to boil the problem down any further than what’s here — “but what if we make a better world for nothing?”
Unfortunately I have tried to show this to people, or use the line that illustrates it, and the gist of the general response is “my comfort comes before our safety.”
