I am curious about Arabic. I feel like it should be having the highest information rate.

I feel like the multitude of tenses in French help with being more precise.
Your problem are not falling trees, but flimsy houses! A concrete or steel structure would have cut that tree in half. The roof tile would have been damaged but that’s cheaper to fix.

I like partitions to be at the root of my file system. And dedicate each one to a specific use. And even dedicate a separate hard drive for my personal files. When in need of transfer or repairs just move this drive to another PC and carry on the work while the former PC gets repaired or nuked.
This is one of my biggest gripes stopping me from switching to Linux. I just can’t give-up windows’ partitions. I find Unix/Linux file system to be incompatible with how I like storing my files.
I stand with chat-gpt on this. Whoever created these double letters is the idiot here.
Statcounter’s graph of iOS market share points to more than half 56% on Norway, so I bet if there is a need for replacing windows in Norway they will swing to apple instead of Linux.
Of all countries Norway might be among the last to switch to Linux.
Rich countries tend to go the apple way.
It is either an extortion from your domain registrar or sometimes opportunistic domain squatters taking over your domain for a year or two. Check for how long it was registered a put a reminder to get it back
OEM have no incentive to ship Linux in their laptops. Plus they get discounts from Microsoft for using windows. So that’s not gonna happen
Microsoft is so confident in its desktop marketshare that they allow themselves to push the overton window on what users will tolerate.
The only competitor they can lose users to is Apple. And even then not everyone can afford an Apple computer, especially in the rest of the world
LineageOS kinda dead these last years they only do pixel phones. While the hoards of people using android are buying Samsung’s and Xioami’s budget phones
Edit: after reading the comments. I checked again and was surprised they have updated the list with newer models they weren’t on the list a few months ago
We need help communities on Lemmy. That’s what is going to make it rank in SEO and fly. Communities like software help (office, adobe creative products, etc), financial help and advice. And ask docs communities.
Memes won’t help SEO rank.
Aren’t apps on android hermetically sealed from other apps and malware. How could this be achieved ?
I struggle to comprehend how people were paid to design this demagoguery.
To be honest. The last picture looks too sterile and lacking character. And The shops have become transparent.
But most importantly it has the mark of an elitist urban designer who goes everywhere by car and doesn’t really use the spaces they design, otherwise they would have never missed to provide benches for walking people to rest. Especially the elderly and the obese.
Linux Mint is king. The rest are imposters 🤪
With about a thousand new daily sign ups to mastodon it feels like it is going back to its rapid degrowth that it has been on before the Twitter debacle.
I was comparing Arabic to other languages with the most speakers in the world. I have no idea what those languages you mentioned sound like. And I bet conlangs could be designed to fulfill such requirements as well.
