I lucked out I think.

I got an APRN first for my referral and she told me one of two doctors will need to sign off on this and one of them is chill about young people getting vasectomies the other would want to see me personally to talk me out of it, but would still do it.

FreeCAD isn’t terrible if you haven’t already learned F360

I had to watch a bunch of videos on FreeCAD to sorta unlearn the work flow of F360 stuff but its not bad.

That’s a crazy time frame.

I said in September “I would like a vascectomy”

And I got one in December. Insurance covered it. No questions.

Vasectomies aren’t reversible either apparently. They took a chunk of tube out of each ball and all I had to say was “Yes I’m sure. No no one is compelling me”

I argue that both are selfish decisions, but having a kid eventually drags someone else into that didn’t consent.

My boss is from a small town and, for religious reasons, doesn’t swear and is deeply uncomfortable with it.

But we asked one day if there’s a swear he does use he said

“I hate to admit it, but faggot rolls off my tongue too easily.”

Its the closest he’s ever come to swearing.

The style is upsetting.

Personally, I view it as propaganda still, but I don’t view propaganda as bad inherently.

Propaganda to me is just an organized effort to persuade a larger audience of people politically. Its only bad if the aims are harmful unjustly.

So people organizing a take over to reiterate “No fucking Nazis!” Is a propaganda campaign, but its based.

Gods not a terrible investment but it doesn’t have a short term ROI just a REALLY long term one.

I hate Bitcoin but its probably a better investment (and just as useful) than gold.

I’m a fudd though and ONLY buy stable stocks that yield reliable dividends though. ETFs, S&P stuff.

There’s a few options now, but you can get Intel N100 ITX boards Like this one from ASUS with a soldered on N100 CPU for the cost of a normal motherboard.

If its just a NAS, and I do recommend having a separate Just a NAS, that CPU fucks hard.

Gods, I’m considering Job hopping and I saw Lockheed was hiring for my role, less experience, less certs, full remote, and quadruple my pay.

I had to block them on indeed and LinkedIn. I hated that I was considering it.

One of the guys I went to college with is an amazing programmer and had such a great understanding of C that hes why i got as far into CS as i did, couldn’t get a job after grad because 1) Covid and more importantly 2) he’s insufferable.

He got a job making $100k a year for I wanna say Lockheed because he quote “Wrote good looking code”. That’s all they needed because Tue DoD already told them that the project he was hired for was not going to be adopted, but they were still contracted for minimum 2 more years of development and Lockheed would be in breach of contract if they weren’t making progress even though it was already Dead.

The Military industrial complex is JUST a grift to put tax dollars in private hands.

I don’t have pride in my government or its actions.

It was actively causing a lot of harm for most of its existence and is now turbo charging its ability to enshittify the world.

The LEAST I can do is make it clear we’re not all in support of this shit.

Sure it misses stuff and is only so good because none of the data is private, but man that’s 90% of my work load for SOP making. Worth the $400 a year corporate pays for it.
