404 is absolutely reliable. They are not a huge corporation and need the funding for their investigative reporting.

LLMs are per definition “mediocre machines”. They are a statistical approach. The most common answer is far from the single best answer.

Imho „profit” is the main driver of cultural stagnation. If anything and everything has to be profitable — even in arts and science — you cannot be creative.

Just saw this post: https://lemmy.world/post/41321800

OpenRA comes to mind.

I think it just makes the whole thing even more funny.
„AI tool claims that papers at AI conference are AI generated.“ is a fantastic headline.

Reading it like this: He is right. But my conclusion is most likely very different to the one OpenAi is offering. Thinking of David Graeber.

After CSS3 they switched to rolling releases and dropped any numbers, AFAIK.

This breaks with the foundations of CSS. You already can build if-like statements especially since the implementation of custom properties. It doesn’t have to be that explicit — quite the contrary: putting if() into every property will make them bloated and harder to understand.

Ah, the good old Adam Something trick! In the end everything can become a train!

Becoming an artist or illustrator is hard. It needs passion and dedication. You need to be able to not only imagine your character but use time and effort to make them appear on a blank canvas.
Many people lack time and/or talent to draw their alter ego. Today everything has to be perfect. A pencil sketch is not enough.
I can somewhat understand the urge. People have shitty lifes with shitty jobs. DnD is some sort of short time escape. They like their characters and story to become as visually appealing as possible.
It is not tech but typography. The em dash is as wide as the small letter m. The en dash is as wide as the small letter n. These two letters are often used for referencing width in typography. There are other reference points, like the small letter x used for height.

It’s basically some sort of Enshitification: AI does the job bad in short time so the company can make more? Quality is not important as long as a shitty version of the product can go live.
That was ten years ago? Holy!
