I thought “bricked up” means having a hard on.
I love the idea your wife has about writing arguments down! Feels like it would help give structure too, so many arguments I have meander from disagreeing about detail to detail.
You can view some profiles (authwall for others) and some show all content (tried it out with bbc and forbes), others drop relatively recent content while some others only show ancient content from a year or more ago.
The latter two were when I tried opening the twitter pages for some smaller podcasts I follow.
The flag in your username made me pause. On some other social media it meant hindu nationalist, love that here it means you like NetBSD lol.
That would be terrible because they are both some of the best academic publishers in the humanities.
Said communities would rather indirectly “house” them in tax-funded prisons? I’d point them to studies on how incarcerating and enforcing these laws end up costing Americans more than it does to house people, such as this: https://homelessvoice.org/the-cost-to-criminalize-homelessness/
What a strange state of affairs. People may not live outdoors because that looks unsightly. But you will also not give them a place to go.
Hope there are enough homeless shelters for them to move into. Otherwise you would be suggesting the inconvenience you face from having to see them sleep in the streets justifies making it impossible for them to in their desperate situation have even that.

I think your laughing at her fall might have had something to do with it. (I assume you laughed, I can’t imagine not)
Could it be me who doesnt know what metaphysics is? No, a whole sub-field of philosophy is actually useless and none of them see it.
Also hilarious seeing “philosophy” referred to like its a method you can use and not a whole field including everything from ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of religion, epistemology, aesthetics, etc.
So I forgot I made this post. Seeing a notification with your comment was … something.
If you look at the other replies, you’ll see people politely explaining. You didnt have to make these rude replies.
Deepfakes are being used to personalize political messages in India, here’s a fun article on it which also points out an instance all the way back from 2020: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/20/deepfake-democracy-behind-the-ai-trickery-shaping-indias-2024-elections
It also mentions using deepfakes to target constituencies speaking different languages, to defame opposing parties, and even creating deepfakes to cast doubt on legitimate videos:
Ahead of the state election in November, the caller requested that Jadoun alter a problematic but authentic video of their candidate – whose party he did not disclose – to make a realistic deepfake. The aim: to claim that the original was a deepfake, and the deepfake the original.
Except we could apply this reasoning to things that actually matter and are valuable to us. Things we do and care about might not matter at the scale of the galaxy we are in but they can still matter to us.
I’ve a few times shared personal information to people I am friendly with in public chats, accidentally or while not putting much thought into it. I imagine there are others like me who wouldn’t want to be doxxed.
