I’m pretty sure the quantity of scam calls I get went wayyy down after I switched from Verizon to mint. Used to be a few a day, now it’s like 2 a month.

I think this only applies to using the word “gravy” for payment services or a website referring to such a payment service. There was a prior trademark on the word for use with plush toy products.

Appreciate the breakdown of the tools. I haven’t heard of Ardour before but will have to check it out now. I’m getting more into FOSS stuff lately. I currently use a free copy of Live lite that came with my focusrite DI.

Vocals turned out great btw. Super impressed by folks that are multi instrumentalists.

If you don’t mind me asking - What is your approach to recording all the parts? Like do you start with the drums and then listen to that while you record the guitar and then do vocals…or? And do you ever plan to play this live? Would be hella fun to hear this live.

I think you’ve made a number of extrapolations from the other commenter’s post, that I don’t see them having said.

I understood their take to mean: abolition doesn’t work (as we’ve seen repeatedly in history). You can’t make something disappear just because you don’t want it to exist. That doesn’t mean “do nothing”, it means take a realistic approach that will actually make a difference.

I want to be clear - I’m with you. There’s a lot of things that I wish never existed but in lieu of that - I am learning how to navigate a world with powerful technologies in the hands of bad and powerful people - and being an agent for change without killing myself in the process. The commenter was being empathetic, suggesting you may want to take an approach that won’t exhaust yourself. This person is an ally - and you are going to fail if you can’t recognize that.

Interesting article, good to see that this awful shit is being exposed. I see that Jake Adelstein wrote it. Name sounded familiar…he’s the guy the Tokyo Vice show on HBO was about. I kinda liked it, wish it hadn’t been canceled. I don’t know why I was surprised to find he’s still reporting on Japan!
