YouTube is a great experience with a paid subscription. It’s the streaming service I use the most and I find the monthly cost to be worth the content I watch there. It’s also an even more effective way to fight the disruptive influence advertising has on our online communities and helps fund the creators on the platform that I enjoy.
Everyone should make their own choices, I’m just highlighting one of those choices that works well for me.
I spent a decade as a full time Tcl developer and even I don’t use fossil.
Puns are their own rewords!
Profit is created from the output of productive labor. The amount of profit varies depending on the efficiency of the market and the company.
Companies are force multipliers for labor. The company’s profit comes from that force mulitplication, not by withholding profit from the worker who generated it.
Profit can only be made by exploiting labour. There can’t be any other way
This is a bad take and suffers from overly-simplistic thinking. Corporations are force multipliers for labor and the economic value of your labor is increased by joining forces with others.
I wonder what percentage of these sovcit chuckleheads is also strongly in favor of “mass deportations”
Crosswind stability and you need the larger bed for tighter turning with the gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch.

many of those polytheistic religions would treat their deities like some piece of magic or even like a good aesthetic
Just like today’s believers in Allah, Vishnu, Jesus, or Yahweh. Your observation doesn’t really contradict the meme. At its simplest, a reader of the meme could expect to have the same degree of faith they have today just directed towards Shamash. This would include the “good aestheticians” you mention as well as today’s true believers.
If you don’t have upvotes and downvotes turned on then I’m even more confused why you let them influence how you comment.
Yeah thats why i opt for low effort comments because even if you’re right you’re downvoted
A day later and I notice that your low effort comment was downvoted, but the other comment with detail and explanation is 9:1 upvoted. Maybe it’s the low effort part that’s earning you the downvotes and not the underlying opinion.
Lemmy community is garbo.
All you post and all you read is all this place will ever be (apologies to Pink Floyd).
And now guyrocket is too embarrassed to admit they thought they were making a funny joke and didn’t realize they were 32 years too late to the punchline.
You literally used the word “than” in your comment just now.
Just to be clear, the “reason” here is that your expectations are not correctly aligned with the project goals.
Full totality here on a mostly cloudy day. We did get a few peeks of the sun, but mostly it just got dark and cold for 3 minutes.
I’m sure from his perspective a new car just showed up in his garage every six months.
There are better editors to learn if your goal is to not learn vi.
In vi, search is not only used for searching, but also for navigation. Demoting search from an easy-to-reach single key to a difficult-to-press chorded key combination breaks one of vi’s core philosophies, natural editing flow, and will significantly reduce your enjoyment and efficiency using the editor.
