  • You are unhelpfully combative. DEI factually is a term that has been made a victim of twisting and manipulation. Flickerman was well within their rights to point out that this malformation of meaning has gone so far as to influence the basic grammatical use of the term.

You will notice that Flickerman even gives OP an out, admitting that their misusage of the term might be unintentional, likely skewed by years of propaganda. That is, OP could be entirely innocent and misled.

Therefore, ironically, the individual here who is truly reacting programmatically to seek victimhood, is you. :)

Luddites’ main concern was the systemic redirection of revenue from them, the laborers, to the owners of the factories. They did not simply hate technology for technology’s sake.

The fact that you ignore this basic historical fact betrays an embarrassing ignorance.

I personally don’t give a shit if some AI is used in research. I think that’s awesome. But AI also actively and materially deprives laborers of compensation for their work, both before and after the model training process. And I fucking hate that.

it uses the UAC flow so it’s closer to right click > run as administrator than runas, so you will be required to enter credentials in the UAC dialogue (not the terminal) unless you are using an admin account (which at any workplace taking security seriously you should not be)

and in powershell it’s $$ to execute the previous command :)

disclaimer: not an admin i just use these tools
