    Also, since the US is in the process of becoming authoritarian, I guess we Europeans are on our own anyway.

      to me it was clear that the us is heading into authoriatism, that’s why i thought his statement was interessting.
      “so, we can’t trust you either?” kinda way.

      but yeah, we better pull very hard on those bootstraps.
