There’s so much about Fallout 76 that pushes me away. The notion of wanting internet fuckwads (citation: Penny Arcade) sharing the digital space with me in that kind of game is a major turn-off before we even get to mechanics or setting.
I checked it out on PS+ since I have it, and it’s on the catalogue, and found it to be as fun as Fallout 4 with the exception of the lag. Even if you’re by yourself, the NPC enemies still rubberband hard and it’s just so irritating trying to shoot something that keeps teleporting around 5 to 10 feet at a time as it moves.
It really should have just been single player, or at the very least, had an option to play entirely offline so there’s no lag with the enemies.
