    Happy People Have Children: Choice and Self-Selection into Parenthood

    You’re wrong, but for a counter- intuitive reason. People who are happy are more likely to have kids. And then these people continue to be happier on average than their childless peers. But most likely because they have the excess time and resources to pursue having children.

    Thanks to contraception, children are a consequence of happiness rather than a cause.

        It’s kinda what you’d expect, given trends in the middle class. But nice to have numbers rather than just vibes to go on
