Yeah but that’s not as convenient as seeing the name directly. I find it strange that the behaviour is inconsistent between the Home feed and Community feeds.
Well, in a small community you probably want to see usernames. But in home/all with exposure to a large number of lemmy users and posts, the user just doesn’t really matter as much. Adding username to home/all by default would just be noise in the UI for most users.
That being said there is a feature request to make a setting for this in github.
If you open the expansion menu for the post in the feed (the three dots) the username is shown about halfway down, next to the icon of a human
