      The short answer is that we are primarily trying to sell you our journalism by putting articles that we think you will care about in your inbox, in the hopes that you will one day read something that convinces you that our work is worth paying for.

      Yeah, no need for a long term marketing relationship. It’s valid for people to reject being marketed to.
