Percussive maintenance on TVs may be a thing of the past. I don’t think the average person slaps the side of their flatscreen these days.
LCDs don’t have cathode rays running them. Don’t need to realign the electromagnets. When my LCDs have gone, it’s either been a burnt bulb or a short somewhere. Slaps don’t fix that.
Maybe you haven’t slapped hard enough
Maybe I just needed to slap radio shack back into selling capacitors
I do, but gently, and only when talking about how much I like it.
