Problem is big sites you’re forced to use (banking sites, work HR systems, etc) would’ve made shitty decisions and required it to use their site. It would be like the old “you have to use IE 6” era
It only takes two seconds to three seconds to become helpless in flowing grain
You have to subscribe or else it just goes transparent.
In the distant past, yes, but I’ve got my Z Flip 5 set up to use all the Android standard applications and settings. It was trivial to do
Lots of hate for Samsung in here… I actually just switched from Pixel (and before that Nexus phones) to Samsung for the first time ever, because the Z Flip 5 is everything I’ve ever wanted in a phone form factor.

Squirrels with peanuts are a nightmare. They dig up and throw potted plants around in their frenzy to bury their score, then forget where they put it and do more destruction.
I deal with stuff like this about 2 days a week

Joke’s on them, I switched. To Firefox
No, it’s firmly into “utter incompetence” and “Jesus Christ these people are ignoring basic practices”
Security on Android, as an OS, is arguably better. However in practice it’s very manufacturer-dependent. If they didn’t butcher the OS, and actually rolled updates without carriers getting in the way, it wouldn’t be a contest at all.
Hahahaha
Sticking one’s head in the sand and pretending security is a non-issue is not actually more secure
You have to opt-in to those already. This isn’t blocking applications from being able to do full screen notifications, it’s just defaulting it to disabled so you have to opt in.
Each of those is for a valid feature of the app, and you can disable those you don’t like.
This entire post is a thinly veiled scare tactic. “well I’m not saying it’s a problem, but look what they’re doing!! I’m just asking questions here” kind of bullshit
The DMCA is one of the worst things to happen to the internet. But go figure, old people with zero understanding created the law.
