If you can’t beat 'em, swallow them.

I misread, I thought they said anyone listening while on transit not just anyone period. Makes more sense now.
Not who you replied to but I’m sure you don’t blast music or other audio on transit when you need the break.
Holy crap I had no idea it was an actual anniversary! I just think in pop culture bits (memes). Neat. I so remember the first time watching it in the early teens, Tarantino can sure write fun random dialogue also sure was fun seeing Travolta be awesome again at the time after the baby movies. Not that I didn’t enjoy Look Who’s Talking,at the time, but who remembers those after Pulp Fiction for Travolta?
remembers Pulp Fiction scene least that’s what comfortable silence makes me think of, and yes I agree, it’s nice when a couple people can sit down and not feel like they have to say anything.
There was a provincial bill in BC, Canada to stop the change that passed but it had no date to take effect since they wanted to sync with west coast states. It’s like enough people want to change but no one will be the first one so it’s not too awkward.
Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with enjoying your favourite comic book characters on screen, like watching a live action cartoon. Comics don’t make sense all the time, or cartoons, comic book movies don’t have to either.
If that’s not for you, than to each their own.
I’ll also say I haven’t enjoyed many DC / Marvel movies for awhile but not because they don’t follow their rules. That’s their secret… They have no rules.
Okay I may be wrong there but I don’t know offhand one rule a comic story hasn’t broken at a new point. I also don’t read a ton of them but I know they change their mind a whole lot. Also physics goes out the window when you take into account many comic characters. Sure ant man said this, who says ant man was correct?
Makes me think of the novel cryptonomicon where the guy had to encrypt and decrypt every message on his finex (may be misremembering that one) laptop.
For those that aren’t familiar it’s from the late 90s so tech is dated but a pretty fun novel that deals with cryptography, by Neal Stephenson, long but enjoyable.
Dunno what OS’s it supports besides Windows but I use Kdiff for random comparisons regularly, I think it works pretty well untill you get to much larger files (20+ MB slows down a lot). The huge file wasn’t code but needed to check output changes for those curious.
I constantly check git comparison with previous versions to see what changed to break things in a build though. Didn’t know there was a way to diff any files in git, should probably just learn to use that one.
After reading a walkthrough I’m confident I beat at least one round of the game, heh, maybe I misinterpreted that for the game ending screen (he gets on the spaceship at the end of the round for those that don’t know)… If there’re no pits in the first round I believe I made it further than that at because I remember them well.
Though with my memory these days I’m happy when I leave work with everything I intended to so not saying it’s completely accurate I mostly just remember ET getting on a ship.
Was ET actually difficult or just unclear how to progress? I swear I finished it when I was a kid but the amount of games I’ve finished in my life is extremely tiny, if things get too hard I just go play something else for awhile (looking at every stealth mission shoehorned into non stealth game). So maybe I just misremembered finishing it but I sure played it a lot before I got an NES.
Cause as DPS it’s harder to find a group.
Reminds me of this Penny Arcade
I’m not sure I’ve heard that one, very similar and awesome. I should read some of him, yes I know very famous just something I haven’t got around to doing.
I do agree but if you wanted to make to case for ‘God’ they could have made sure some of their creatures evolved to understand his work, assuming they did it in a logical way. I’m not a person with faith but just try and think a way is possible, though usually trying to understand weird comic and media universe type actions.
We are the way for a universe to understand itself (paraphrased from Sagan). Though his writing is much more interesting than this comment. I just think there’s room for belief if it works for people, but not for the strict literal interpretations that many seem to believe.
Not that this helps their case but they’re over 50 now. Well Jason Mewes only turned 50 in June so depending on filming maybe be forty something. I’m older, I still like Kevin Smith, I have simple tastes. I still watch Baseketball now and then. Though I don’t think a group of me would make much of a market heh. To each their own.
How do you find which one you want with 150 open? Genuinely curious is all, I’m old and mostly use PC and can type quick enough to find what I want if I know which site (wikis for games and such). If I had to scroll through 150 tabs I’d spend half the time looking through a list so wonder how it helps to have that many open. Or maybe I just don’t read fast enough to scroll well.
He does say he only checks via prescient, in the book’s time, to make sure they’re still on the golden path so he can get surprised. That is one of my favourite bits as well, he sort of gapped out for a moment. Then later we get introduced to him talking about wool gathering when Moneo’s mind wanders, that just made me ponder if that phrase was because he kept thinking about his surprise earlier in the story due to his own wool gathering. If I recall that phrase came up a few times in the series but I can’t remember if earlier or later books.
Also if you think about it, never being surprised and living thousands of years would be quite boring and humanizes him in a way that most people would not think of since he’s the worm.
Hope you’re enjoying it, it’s my favourite of the series but I enjoy the philosophy pondering in that book. I can see why it’s not for many readers though, and if Dune was hard to film I couldn’t imagine trying to do that book without voiceovers of Leeto for more runtime than most studios and viewers would like.
I bet another big reason is that he can hold rallies and get his narcissistic high. Has to be awesome for a narcissist to hold events where people are there just to hear him ramble.
