“So you think you’re too good to eat at Revolvo’s?” from Moonbeam City
I don’t even remember most of the plot, just that there were dueling rotating restaurants (Revolvo’s and Rotator’s).

What are the odds of Nebraska Spiderman tweaking his costume to use the same shade of red as NU?
Don’t they each win like ten cents or something?
They must have been playing cookie clicker to come up with a fine that big
Lol I didn’t realize that the pankakke version wasn’t the original.

I wonder if we’ll get another random one-off bit like Jackie Daytona, regular human bartender.
Around a year ago, we watched the first couple seasons before dropping it in favor of (I think) a WWDITS rewatch.
I loved John Corbett’s radio work, though I never really cared for the music he broadcast or the music of the show itself.
I loved the character who ran the bar and was involved with Shelly in a May-December relationship, and not just because it was the same guy who played Grandpa Big Mike on The Middle.
I hated the doctor. Not like I hated Cersei Lannister, but he was just too whiny for my taste. I didn’t care for Maurice (?) the bigshot former astronaut with no gaydar, he was too much of a blowhard for my taste.
It was a fine show. Not sure I’ll ever be interested in a rewatch though. Overall, I’d rather rewatch What We Do In The Shadows. If I had to name a premium drama show to rewatch, instead of Mad Men I’d probably rewatch Better Call Saul + Breaking Bad.
Very excited indeed! Finished a rewatch of 1-5 a couple weeks ago in anticipation.
I just finished the season finale of Bad Monkey.
It was well worth the time spent and I encourage anyone with access to an apple tv+ login to consider it. Similar to a Hot Fuzz set in the Florida Keys, with the difference that the protagonist is a local instead of a transplant. There are still a lot of colorful local characters.
It was a single season of 10 episodes, based on a book. The author of said book apparently has, among his lengthy bibliography, at least one other novel featuring this same protagonist with an unknown number of the side characters. Not a sequel or a prequel, but another story in the same universe.
At first I was unhappy with how some of the characters plot lines resolved, but in hindsight they get endings that make sense within the universe.
I would absolutely be up for a rewatch in a year or so.
I’ve started the new season of Halloween Baking Championship. Gf and I watch it while eating dinner, so it takes two or three nights to finish an episode.
We are partway done with the first episode. It’s a small sample size, but none of the bakers is nearly as impressive as the winner from the previous season. Said winner (Hollie) started off a little shaky but most of the season was a blowout, with Hollie winning an absurd number of bakes. She’s strong enough we think she would’ve won handily on any other season of the show.
We’re also two episodes into season 1 of Shitts Creek. Of the family members, I like the dad the most. The motel clerk (Stevie?) is my favorite one of the townies. So far it feels like Arrested Development but in rural Canada instead of coastal southern California. Feels like there is some humble pie coming for the Rose family. No spoilers, please.

Do you have a recent picture of her you’re willing to share?
I only use imdb to look up cast names, I don’t look at reviews (let alone write them). I’ve never used rottentomatoes or metacritic either.
I (sometimes) used to leave reviews on reddit, always in new episode posts on a tv show’s sub.
Nowadays, I might plausibly leave a review in the comments on a relevant post here on lemmy, or if my opinion was solicited in one of the discord servers I regularly spend time in.
It finished airing in 2018, but I really enjoyed watching The Middle. I’d probably be starting another run through of it if it was still available on HBO Max.
Yes, it crashed Voyager for me almost instantly.
In no particular order:
Hank Hill, because he reminds me of my dad.
Guillermo de la Cruz, because he’s the kindest person on WWDITS.
Tyrion Lannister, because he’s the only one of his family I didn’t want to strangle. I’m aware book Tyrion is far less likable though.
Finished a rewatch of What We Do In The Shadows. Funniest show I’ve seen recently.
Also watched the latest episode of Bad Monkey. Shame that only one episode a week is getting released.
Have also watched the first two episodes of Bodkin. Intriguing so far.
Ned is a lucky bastard, I’ve never gotten to hold more than two kittens at the same time.
