This was my first exposure to Linux. I had no internet at the time so I left it on my computer for a couple of weeks and played with the settings and Snake, then reinstalled Windows so I could play my games again.

Those terms and conditions don’t count for anything and can’t be enforced because no reasonable reads them. Someone will probably shoot me down for this but I actually find ChatGPT good for explaining concepts to me. Especially when I just want a high level understanding of a concept as I try to understand another one without getting too bogged down. A lot of Google results go into way too much detail.

I really tried to enjoy the first series but four episodes in it was just a chore to watch and I didn’t know what was going on or care about any of the characters. It just couldn’t keep my interest.

I read only 30% of people who watched the first series completed it and it’s the reason we now have ads in Prime. They signed a contract to do three series of it.

The difference between each generation of consoles is getting less and less. The latest jump doesn’t really give you anything the previous gen didn’t give you, it just has sharper graphics. The graphics aren’t even that much better.

Nobody donates to these things.

People should be scared, this kind of thing will likely be normal eventually. It’s amazing how quick people just become normalised to shit like this. I remember a Reddit post about Angry Birds 2 where someone had posted a picture of it requiring an internet connection to play and then had just written “Uninstalled” beneath it; now like 80% of the free games out there require an internet connection to work. We could have Netflix that’s half the price and included password sharing, we could have all games working offline, and so much more, but there’s so many people out there simping for these corporations that don’t give a fuck about them.

I’m running openSUSE because I like lizards.

I don’t think charging for content is the problem, it’s just the way some companies do it.
