Light and medium roasts are finicky and vary by the bag.
The lighter the roast, the easier it is to brew too long, resulting in astringency.
If a brew is astringent, keep reducing brew time until the astringency goes away.
I just signed up for Matrix because you mentioned it.
I installed the Element front end, because that seems to be the most popular.
It looks like IRC, which is fine if that’s all you need.
It also appears that anything beyond text has to be hotlinked, which is understandable, given that the amount of data transmitted for redundancy between home servers is exponential with the number of home servers.
Really very similar to Lemmy, where the identity of each group is tied to a particular server, e.g. lemmy has !anime@ani.social but Matrix has #anime:matrix.org
So what happens if matrix.org goes away or decides the server admin wants to be hostile to #anime?
What kind of system that depends on centralized servers can ever be secure from government snooping?
That kind of architecture is completely hopeless in that regard.
Is a encrypted, distributed, P2P architecture realistic though?
How to cut off PS online verification: https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/comments/1624ybw/how_to_fix_photoshop_we_cant_verify_your/
But the tool they recommend using, GenP, does trigger Windows Defender warnings because it modifies binaries, so read the installation instructions carefully.
Or migrate to FOSS software, or pay Adobe to use their product.
There are some specialty content, such as British TV and Asian TV and movies, or complete archives of porn sites, that don’t appear regularly on public torrent sites, or streaming sites for that matter.
If you never watch that kind of thing, then you don’t need to sign up for a private tracker.
Waitaminit, wouldn’t this rating be subject to effort bias, i.e. One thinks more highly of things that one has paid money for?
The first Mortal Kombat movie was a classic!
The same caution is advisable when searching for any free software.
There’s all kinds of malware, adware, and just plain malicious crap that shows up in search engine results.
The corollary is that a book has to be in-print, or commercially distributed in e-book form, to have any sales.
If neither new printed copies, or commercially sold e-books are available, then taking down pirate sites, or even an archive like archive.org, only diminishes the collection and availability of human knowledge and literature.
Yay! Finally Boost finally gets an update! Thank you!!!
You’re right. Got them confused with Spiderman. It’s hard to keep track…
Just saw it.
Not bad. Deadpool/Ryan Reynolds comic timing, or at least the editing, is spot on. The fangasm trip through the SonyFox X-Men movies, and significant cameos of characters, props, and objects from Marvel movies past, not necessarily MCU movies.
That one fight was good even if it didn’t really have an ending.
A good time, overall
Galaxy Quest - The best Star Trek movie ever… The squiddies are such great sidekicks, so relatable, and you hate to let them down, the catchphrases are actually good: “Never give up, never surrender!” “By Grabthar’s Hammer, you shall be avenged…”
The amount of plastics that actually get recycled is about 1% worldwide, according to the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214785321075969
The amount of Polypropylene that comes out of recycling is less than 1% of that 1% https://circularityinaction.com/2020PlasticRecyclingData
Unless you believe the stats from astroturf orgs like “The Recycling Partnership” that is funded by: The American Chemistry Council (i.e. the plastics manufacturers association), major producers of plastic packaging like Coke, PepsiCo, Uniliver, 3M, etc https://recyclingpartnership.org/funding-partners/
I saw a bag of that the other day in… probably a Safeway or Lucky’s.
You can always order from them directly https://jeremiahspick.com/product/jamaican-blue-mountain/
The bad news is we may be forced to buy movie tickets just for the theaters’ AC in order to survive the heat. The movie would be a pleasant side effect.
I’ve been looking into plastic-free alternatives to the Aeropress. I haven’t found any so far. I didn’t find this though it seems better designed than the ethoz that comes with a fragile glass erlenmeyer flask. Both have plastic pressure brewing chambers though.
This obviously uses a plastic pressure brewing chamber, but it looks like it would be relatively simple to have a replacement “water chamber” in stainless steel for a few dollars more.
Question: To set up for another brew, in order to put the water chamber back into its original place, do you have to twist it back into the cup, or twist it back through the orange gripped ring?
If so, then that’s 2 sets of twisting for every cup of coffee.
Question 2: Have you timed yourself on how long it takes to twist/extract the brew?
What about the horror movie where a cabal of Christian conservative billionaires conspire to remake society following their conservative ideology, making life a hellhole for regular people, but nobody seems to notice?
The first couple of weeks on a private tracker are always pretty rough, until you can build up your ul/dl ratio high enough to get some breathing room.
Some sites make things easier on newbs than others.
If possible, look for recent freeleech torrents, especially popular ones, download them even if you aren’t really interested in the content, and seed them 24/7 to build your ul stats…
