    Their intolerance deserves respect now?

We’re supposed to say “okay I respect that you want to take my rights away, force me to serve a god I don’t believe in and obeybdraconian religious law” and just accept that they have never respected us?

    Sorry. Respect is mutual.

Extremists like those are not culture, those are just degeneration of poor ideal or plain ignorance. What I intended was to keep a civilized approach to other beliefs.

so… you’re saying the people who are anti-abortion are extremists? the people shoving tracks in my hand because they think it’ll save me are extremists? the people knocking on my door despite “no solicitation”… because hey, I might be sleeping, but what’s “salvation” to a being able to drive home work later that night safely?

sorry but the christian faith mandates harassment of non-believers. evangelical christians are absolutely trampling on the rights of LGBTQ+, and women, and anybody else who doesn’t happen to hold their beliefs… and as far as christians go are fairly mainstream. No. you do not get to excuse their behavior by insisting they’re extremists.

Many anti-abortionist are extremist. Why? Because they want to force their ideals on you. Knocking at someone door is bothersome but you can just send them off as you would do to any other door to door seller. Is true that many persons “are using religion” trampling on the rights of others but “to reflect” the same intolerance on their religion don’t help anybody, create only further divisions witch people like them are “veeeery” happy to use.

            just send them off

I work nights (as noted). Would you like me to come by at 3 am and see how you like being woke up when you’re sleeping?

It’s not obnoxious - it’s dangerous. Particularly because of how frequent it is.

Freedom of religion means freedom from religion.

Further, I absolutely do not have to tolerate their intolerance. “Be nice” only works when everybody is nice- otherwise it’s just an abusive relationship.
