By the way, the comic appears to show a cartoon, many of which (Slovak Pat a Mat, Polish Bolki i Lolki, Hungarian Mézga csálád) beat current production because acclaimed film creators who didn’t quite ideologically align with the party were delegated to children’s programming, and many of the resulting productions were enjoyed by all ages

It’s not Mézga Csálad, too early for that. Also, all of them have human main characters and no talking pigs AFAIK (although some Bolki i Lolki episodes do feature cops).
I found a piece of shit Czechoslovak TV program on YouTube and wanted to point the German uploader who took great lengths to subtitle it to other bizarre stuff, and I needed to edit it a bit. I’ll upload a video with a bit of the Arabella Holiday Special soon, it’s worse than the Star Wars one at times…

Speaking of which, I don’t think you can take any drugs to make that holiday special make sense. It’s like if Darth Vader had a change of heart and summoned a Life Day dinner for the Wookie family. (That video is not the most out-of-place, but certainly the most “:3” scene)
