  • … I mean I think he’s aware of how it works. Weird Al, given his track record with respecting other people’s work even above what he is required to do, doesn’t seem like the type to ask to be a part of it and then demand it to be done his way.

I think they could make something work. SNL has its own style, but they tend to adore when they have comedic hosts who will play the goofy roles. Weird Al seems like a great fit… Musical numbers, collaborations with Please Don’t Destroy… I think it has big potential.

  • Depends on the dealership. I went in and asked if I could get additional money off the car for using their financing. They say yes they gave a $1,000 credit.

I then asked how many payments did I need to make for them to get their full incentive for the loan. They said 6 months. I asked if I could pay it off after that, and they said sure, they’d have their kickback from the bank.

And that’s what we did. It was a pretty frank conversation with the dealer, they were cool, we were cool.

  • This is the dumbest shit and we need to fucking grow up a bit. These “questions” are asinine and not that hard to explain.

    1. Not denying the incident was reported, but there’s a heavy insinuation here that this was set up or manufactured. If so… They needed an entire Secret Service detail, local event police and everyone standing by to be in on it. A couple hundred people are going to be involved and no one leaks it?

    2. “Supposed” gunman. I like how you pivot from “this is probably set up” to “ok even if it was real Trump is capable of worse”

    3. Again, the insinuation of an inside job here. We’re going to involve a hundred or more people and no one thought it would be a problem to kill a bystander? Or the gunman was so good he killed a specific plant? And they had a 100% success rate… No one heard the plan and thought “oh this is a bad idea” and spoke out about it?

    4. Big difference between deleting text messages and MURDERING AN AMERICAN to further a political agenda.

    5. Yes. Things happen all the time. Trump people are saying this is to distract from Biden being inept. There’s always a convenient time.

    6. Yes you dumbshit he was concerned about his hat because they already had the all clear. The shooter got taken out in seconds. They wouldn’t have moved Trump. And they all were saying it was all clear. Also have you ever seen people in an absolute panic? Not the most rational state. Same thing with his shoes. That’s ALSO why he took the photo op. They all dove on top of him. They figured out the shooter’s location and took him down before Trump even got up.

There’s pictures of the fucking bullet in flight. So either that was ALSO manufactured (a member of the press willingly heard the plan ahead of time and doctored a photo or they actually shot a bullet inches away from Trumps head AND captured it). But no let’s just get Trump, a bumbly ass fuck to orchestrate this perfectly. I’m sure he had it a planned to go down, and everyone covered him and he pulled out a razor blade, cut his ear, and put it away, all perfectly executed and no one caught anything on camera from any of the dozens of angles.

This shit is so fucking stupid and I’m so sick of hearing about it. These points all rely on the most ass backwards way of thinking where dozens of people are in on this conspiracy and relies on all of them bring cool with killing someone to make it good for Trump.

Get this shit outta here. This doesn’t deserve the pixels on the screen used to illuminate this nonsense. Be a fucking grown up. We’re going to have to figure out a real way to beat Trump, not pretend this was some false flag bullshit. Accept reality. Be a goddamn adult.

I’m not even saying you’re wrong for questioning, but I am saying you are wrong because the sheer volume of things that would need to occur for this theory to be even remotely possible is so ridiculous, I would consider aliens an equally plausible situation.

  • There is a sizeable gap between “beyond a reasonable doubt” in terms of a very specific law, and things that are gross/immoral.

People keep questioning the timeline as a defense… They might not have known until 2020. It’s normally against internal company policies to just look through people’s DMs. It’s not like someone’s job is to rifle through them. They probably were made aware of it, and then took action.

That’s speculation on my part, but if Twitch sat on it for 3 years, shame on them too, but that doesn’t so shit for this guy. It was still not ok.

The monetary incentive was to pay out his contract so they didn’t have a VERY public story about a VERY high profile streamer inappropriately messaging a minor with their service. That could be super damaging for Twitch. So they likely paid it out to try and bury the story.

  • I think you’re applying your own viewpoint here to the general public.

I don’t enjoy wrestling. I also don’t enjoy reality TV, teen dramas, horror shows, or European Football. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have value.

If TV needs to provide some infallible, logical benefit to be worth something, then every show is in trouble. It’s practically all made up stories about nothing that matters.

This is one of the narrow times that “the customer is always right” applies correctly. It doesn’t matter if it’s “good” by any one person’s definition. If people watch, it has value.

I’d pay good money to see high quality Starcraft 2 tournaments on TV. I doubt many other people would. That’s how value is determined.

  • From what I’ve seen, people are saying the blind spot is anything that’s not in your mirrors. As in your “blind spot” is directly to your left or right. Anything that requires turning your head at all.

Which is fine… But I thought the blind spot referred specifically to the area back left or back right of the driver, where most people do a full turnaround to check those spots. That specific action can be eliminated through proper mirror adjustment. That’s the only point I was trying to make but damn people got spicy about it.

  • I don’t know what to tell you. In my car I can see a motorcycle that approaches and passes from the rear view, then the rear and side mirrors, then the side mirror, then the side mirror and out my window, then out my window as they pass. I literally never lose them for a moment between these 3 visibility areas.

I drive a pretty sensible car, so I can imagine this is more of an issue with large trucks, but I simply do not have an area that I am completely blind to.

  • I am American, but I’m trying to get to where the disconnect is.

What I’ve usually heard referred to as the blind spot is diagonally back, sort of looking out of the back seat windows on either side.

I’ve driven in a lot of cars where they have their mirrors set up incorrectly, and yes you have to turn all the way around to see that spot.

I’m saying in my cars, with a proper setup, you don’t need to turn back that far. You only need to check out your own window, which hardly requires much of a head move.

Turning around and checking backwards takes your eyes completely off the road, and is quite dangerous.

This YouTube video explains it quickly in just 60 seconds: https://youtu.be/tpFXTvmToiU?si=n35tVyuDELaZ3lau

I tell people this IRL and get the same reaction. But if you use this setup, you have to be basically negligent to not see someone in your mirrors.

  • I absolutely do not understand that diagram at all… How can you have a blind zone where you can literally turn your head 90 degrees and see?

Motorcycles are a bit different, in that I’m always extra careful if I see them around since they are small. I can’t speak for all cars, but in both of the ones we have, I can see a car smoothly exit my rear view mirror into my Sideview mirror with a bit of overlap and then as it is exiting the side mirror I can see it with my eyes and my head turned, with a bit of overlap. There’s literally no place to hide.

Also your comment is pretty rude, painting me like I’m some invincible road warrior who just merges with no precautions because I’m so confident that my mirrors are right that I merge hard enough to kill someone. I still signal, wait several seconds, merge slowly, and remain aware. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive.

Shoulder checking isn’t even necessary. People just don’t set their side mirrors correctly. If you can see your own car in your side mirrors, they’re incorrect. Or I guess I should say inefficient for what they are trying to accomplish.

Setting those properly would do a lot of people a lot of good.

Edit: I should clarify, I’m assuming shoulder checking meaning looking back, beyond 90 degrees to look backwards. Most people do this to check the “blindspot”, but this basically doesn’t exist if mirrors are correctly set. You still need to check the immediate sides of the car.

  • I mean… Just to be clear, he’s very obviously advertising something that will benefit him and being upfront about it.

The people in the video are allegedly telling people they are donating money and then just keeping it.

Equating the two of them only serves to minimize what he’s talking about. There’s really no need to compare and contrast the two here. You can hate them both, but one certainly deserves a lot, lot, lot more hate.
