but in high pitch ^little Alex Horne!!^
Taskmaster drew me in and I binged it all. Now that I’ve watched the other shows and know the contestants a bit more, it’s even more fun to rewatch! Taskmaster is a gem of a show, an absolute casserole!

I’ve always heard good things about Dark, the German show
Ya it’s good
My favorite show and it gets better with every rewatch. There are so many details in most of the scenes that reference future/past events so I’ve enjoyed it immensely rewatching it with new partners or friends who haven’t seen it.
The time travel gimmick really gets overshadowed by the humanity and the personal consequences of time travel.I’d also like to recommend The Frog, an Iranian show which was surprisingly high quality and poetic.
Another fantastic non-US: Detectorists, a British show about two dweeby metal detectorists with charm galore and hilarious dialogue. Very wholesome!
Very enjoyable.
Note that in order to enjoy Dark effectively you will need to dedicate a part of your home to a “crazy wall” to keep track of who is who.
I enjoyed it but I did have to stop mid way through season 3 because it just got too damn, well… dark.
The IT Crowd is still my favorite comfort watch
Deadloch is a great Australian show about a murder in a rural town that was recently taken over by lesbian entrepreneurs and turned into an LGBT-friendly tourist destination. Bit of Mare of Eastown vibes, but more humor.

Rake, but the Australian version
I’m sure I’ll think of some others to add, I know I’m forgetting a lot right now…
Toast of London is one of my favorite shows ever. Toast of Tinseltown is good too.
David Mitchell was good in Ludwig this year as well if anyone wants a crime procedural.
Toast of London is soooo good. Matt Berry is just next level

I really enjoyed Kleo - a German nostalgia show about an ex-stasi assassin dealing with the aftermath of the fall of the Berlin wall in the early 90s. 2 seasons are available on Netflix.
Life on Mars
Inside No. 9 is a “British black comedy anthology television programme” per Wikipedia.
Basically if you like Twilight Zone or Black Mirror, with a bit of British comedy, this show is for you.
Every episode has something worth watching, a handful are absolutely fantastic.
- Slow Horses
- Bodies
Slow horses is too good
La Chica de Nieve (The Snow Girl)
My Brilliant Friend
The Fall
Black Books
Elite
La Casa de Papel (Money Heist)
I would also recommend Say Nothing though I don’t know if that counts as “non-US” because while the series is set in Northern Ireland and stars an Irish and British cast it is still US produced.
Luther. Peaky Blinders. The night manager. This is going to hurt. I may destroy you. This is England. Boiling point
